Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
MBSR was created by Jon Kabat-Zinn and is now taught throughout the world. This 8-week course has proven to lower stress response, symptoms of depression and anxiety as well as chronic pain.
Each 8-Week Course meets 2.5 hours per week + a one day silent retreat
Class consists of practicing mindfulness in addition to learning about stress response.
Between classes participants are required to practice for 45minutes to an hour six days per week.
If you will not be able to attend more than two sessions, please consider taking the course at a later time. Regular attendance is helpful to not only the participant but also others engaged in the course. Regular attendance builds a sense of safety and trust and allows for a depth of practice and engagement.
